ADA WEb Standards Presentation

Hi Everyone,

It's been a while sense I updated, but senior projects took up my life. Anyways my ADA Presentation will be May 5th at 12:00 in the Berglund Center. I will be presenting on my paper which is going to be featured on Interface. Check it out once it's up, and I'll echo it here too.

Hello Everyone,

My site zwbdesigns.com went live today, so check it out. Also the TurboMaid Project should go live sometime in the following week to go with my senior project presentation which is April 22 1:30pm at McGill Auditorium. I will also be hosting an ADA Presentation May 5th from 12-1. I will be linking to the posting of my article on Interface soon.

So I play WoW to relax. Take a break sort of thing. Last night my account was hacked and banned. I've emailed blizzard but they have not responded at all, so I'm just sitting here trying to work... It's been a really bad week.

ADA Paper, and Pandora Paper Coming Soon!

Just to give anyone following a heads up, I will soon be posting two papers I'm working on. The first is a "How-to" involving ADA Web Standards. ADA stands for American's with Disabilites, and working on this subject has gotten me a good bit of attention from my college. The second paper is more an opinionated prediction on the legal troubles and potential future of Pandora radio. I personally am a big fan of the Pandora Project, but believe if it's to survive there needs to be a new form of internet copyright laws that are not nationally bound (like that will ever happen, good f'n luck UN). I'm pessimistic about the solutions as radio license companys subcontiously are attempting to kill any form of radio, but with the use of Pandora through the Iphone do admit there is a ray of hope in 3G Wireless. To all those classic FM/AM radio users I hate to break it to you but radio as we know it is like old pizza to a college student. You pray it's gonna still gonna be good, but eventually it's getting thrown out.

As a side note, my senior project is coming up April 15th so I will be launching an additional TWO sites. One my actual TOP SECRET senior project, and the second a finalized portfolio site which I hope to link to this somehow (maybe embed this with jquery... if that's possible). So updates coming soon.

Burnout Paradise and Big Ball-o-Stress

So after a week of working out I'm starting to make a little progress. I've bumped up the Erg to 10 minutes and building up to the last 15 min bike. Workouts a workout.

I bought Burnout Paradise for Jill. She loves the game, and I've found it addicting as well. From a designer aspect its a little controlling about how you are meant to play the game. The license system gives you a concept of progress, the open city environment is amazing, and the cars are fun. However the cars seem to be knock offs of the originals which is alright but the fast cars seem extremely fragile. This makes sense, but in a game that emphasizes smashing makes it really frustrating.

Aside from that being a week from spring break everything in school has seemed to peek. I've got a exam in psychology tomorrow (my worst subject), I've got 3 5 page papers to do by April, I've got photography assignments building up, a massive senior project sitting on my desk, two (count em TWO) websites to launch (my first ever by the way), assignments for my Shakespeare class (meaning I clearly don't know what I have to do), and on top of all of that I have to start finding a job, a place, and how I'm going to pay the school. I'm just a big ball of stress about to blow up. Goody. Well till next week. I'll hopefully post one of the papers I write and the links to the sites after I launch them.

Workout

Well I've started a new workout which I hope I'll be able to do daily. I'm going to start 15 minutes on the bike, 5 minutes on the Erg, 15 minuted on the elliptical, and a final 15 minutes on the bike again. I did this last night and I feel pretty good today, just hungry as hell.

As far as design work goes I have the TM project, my website, and both BCIS sites to work on. Hopefully I can launch the BCIS sites within the week. We'll see what happens from here. I'll post links once they're up.

Also I have 3 essays I'm doing that I'll be submitting on BCIS. I'm debating if I'll post them here or not. That's all for today. ~Z

I thought I'd try this blogging thing again. I'll try to keep this updated weekly with what's going on so you all can follow me up in P-Land.
